- DG18 Agar Base is formulated for the isolation and enumeration of xerophilic molds from dried and semi-dried foods.
- It is especially suitable for foods with low water activity (aW) due to its restrictive characteristics.
- Composition:
- Contains glycerol at 18% (w/w), which lowers the water activity from 0.999 to 0.95.
- Dichloran inhibits spreading of mucoraceous fungi and restricts colony size.
